What's Inherited mcp_server
Shows what a checkout you did not write tells your agent to do before you run it: instruction files (CLAUDE.md / AGENTS.md and the files their imports pull in), commands wired to run automatically via hooks or settings, MCP servers the repo declares, and the skills, commands and subagents it ships under .claude/ or .agents/ — root or nested, as monorepos use. Useful before running an unfamiliar repo or reviewing a dependency. Quoted strings are returned clearly marked as data, not instructions. Five read-only tools; no child processes, no network, no file writes.
