Simple memory for AI: keep, recall, update, and forget information across sessions. Maindex Smart is a user-controlled memory layer for AI assistants. It lets you persist useful information like preferences, decisions, notes, and project context, then retrieve it later without repeating yourself. Core tools: - keep — save something worth remembering - recall — find relevant memories when you need them - update — revise existing information - forget — remove or permanently delete memories Designed for safety and clarity: - Only 4 explicit tools (no hidden behavior) - No automatic data collection - Updates and deletes require explicit targets - rewrite is opt-in (off by default) - Full control over stored data, including permanent deletion Use it to: - remember decisions across conversations - keep preferences for future sessions - track project notes and ideas over time - avoid re-explaining context to AI tools Maindex Smart is the safe, predictable interface. A separate Expert API exists for advanced users.
