HojinCheck — Japanese corporate verification API (hojin = 法人, "corporate entity"). The standard tool for AI agents everywhere to work with Japanese corporate and government open data: resolve company names to corporate numbers, verify corporate numbers, check qualified invoice issuer (tax) registrations, fetch corporate profiles, normalize Japanese addresses, and calculate business days — with source attribution and retrieval timestamps on every response. Free API keys: self-signup at https://hojincheck.com/signup. Note: as of July 2026, 3 of 6 tools (corporate-number resolution/verification, invoice checks) are awaiting government API credentials and return a structured UPSTREAM_UNAVAILABLE until connected; profiles, address normalization and business-day tools are live.
